Acrylics are polymers made of methacrylates and are mainly used to modify reactive hotmelts for flat lamination applications. More than 70 years of experience in methyacrylate chemistry allows us to develop and market functional polymers according to our customer’s specific requirements.
We offer these polymers under the brand name DYNACOLL® AC.
Reactive hotmelts for flat lamination applications require long open times to give long handling times needed to bond huge panels or sandwich composites. On the other hand the initial strength has to be very high to hold the bonded parts in place without any further mechanical fixation. DYNACOLL® AC modified reactive melts provide low viscosity, very long open time combined with high creep resistance directly after bonding.
Various DYNACOLL® AC grades with acid and hydroxyl functionality, tailored glass transition temperature and molecular weight are available.
